Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 September 2026
This policy covers theintentionaltea.com and the digital products and services sold through it. The Intentional Tea is a sole trader based in Austin, Texas, United States. For anything in this policy, write to theintentionaltea@gmail.com.
What is collected, and why
Only what is needed to run the business. There is no advertising network on this site and nothing is sold to anyone.
- Your email address, if you join the newsletter or download a free resource. Used to send what you asked for and occasional updates. You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Your name, email and answers, if you submit a quote request, an intake form or book a call. Used to reply to you and to carry out the work.
- Anonymous usage data, from everyone who visits. Pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, what device and browser you used, and which site sent you here. It is not tied to your name.
Payment details are never collected by this site. Checkout happens entirely on Gumroad or Etsy, and card details go to them, never here.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use it. It sets cookies in your browser and assigns a random visitor identifier so returning visits can be recognised. That identifier is not linked to your name or email.
If you would rather not be measured, you can block cookies in your browser settings, use private browsing, or install Google's official opt-out add-on. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
No advertising or retargeting pixels are installed.
Who else handles your information
These are the only services involved, and each acts only on instruction:
- Brevo, which sends email and stores the newsletter and client lists. Based in the EU.
- Netlify, which hosts the site. Keeps standard server logs including IP addresses.
- Google Analytics, for usage measurement, as described above.
- Gumroad and Etsy, which take payment and deliver purchases, under their own policies.
- Cal.com, for scheduling, if you book a call.
- Notion, which stores quote requests and intake form answers.
How long it is kept
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then removed.
- Enquiries and intake answers: for the duration of the work and up to two years afterwards, so past work can be referred back to.
- Purchase records: as long as tax law requires them to be kept.
- Analytics: retained on Google's default schedule, currently 14 months.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email theintentionaltea@gmail.com and it will be actioned within 30 days. You will not be charged and you will not be treated differently for asking.
If you are in the UK or EU, the lawful bases relied on are consent for marketing email, contract for anything you have bought or booked, and legitimate interests for basic site analytics. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
If you are in California, no personal information is sold or shared for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13 and information is not knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child has submitted something, email and it will be deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the update is noted in the newsletter.
